Hey all, I won't post anymore on this site, because everything will be moved to my main site: sampi.hu
It will be all hungarian, but you never really read what I write, only click on the links, so if you're still interested in new versions of the game, click and download =)

Tankologic Development - Part 10
So, we have GAMEPLAY!
Reach the green particles (follow the red arrow) with both players, after you have killed all the enemies.
New GUI.
Still 50% starting-ratio (f*ckin' rand()...)
UPDATE:
\o/ BTW, I got an A for this project and the exam (I didn't have to take it) =) \o/
Uploaded the fixed version

Tankologic Development - Part 8
Crappy collisions
50% starting ratio =D (no, really if it doesn't start, use the taskmanager and start it again =P)
Improved framerate
Tank Base now shoots automatically at the most unfriendly robot in its view
Tankologic Development - Part 7
Iz all suxxorz.
When I try to run the program outside the OgreSDK directory, it refuses to function properly.
Added some eyecandy and fixes, which seem to unleashed mega-bugs =D
No screenshots today, try the game instead, particle system pwnage awaits.
Tankologic Development - Part 6
Major bugfixing has been done. Oh yeah! No more going underground, accidentally when the frame-rate drops...
I'v replaced the map with a larger one, so it's more fun for the whole family!
There is nothing better, than the smell of wireframe smoke in the morning =)
Next report at the end of this coding session, around 7am. I have to go make my new ID card, cause the last one expired years ago. I'll have to bring my best I-coded-all-night face =)

Tankologic Development - Part 5
OK!
Let's see what we've got:
- Collision detection (enemies vs mushrooms) - There is a robot behind every shroom, watch out! =D
- Better bullet handling
- Bugfixes
- Some general performance optimizations
- Sounds! (though they suck, big time...)
- Some visual tuning
I'm starting to hate this project, but every time I achieve something, I'm getting to like it again. Coding is an emotional rollercoaster, though I still got some beers so laying back at the end (beginning for some...) of the day still pays off =D
See you in a couple of hours!

Tankologic Development - Part 4
Back to the blog!
They come, they stop, they shoot. They are the enemy!
Mushrooms everywhere for your viewing pleasure =)

Tankologic Development - Part 2
So, development started again after last weeks insane coding marathon. This time, I'm doing this alone, though it's harder because there are so many distractions =)
The current state of the game is 'very unplayable, but mildy enjoyable'
you can fly or drive around with the turret or the tankbase, start shooting the robots, which by the way are coming...
and never stopping =D
I tried to make them shoot, but they can't really aim, so that is the next point on my agenda, after booting by brain. I will make them walk robot-like, only X or Z axis at a time, so they will be easier to evade.
Oh, did I tell you, that I'm planning to release the source code, after it's cleaned up to be readable? =)
I'm using OGRE3d so it's multiplatform, though DirectX9 on Win32 will be the only tested platform.
Back to Visual Studio, there is work to do!
